The maintenance of WeeSkins products;
- Wool and leather are naturally self-cleaning and break down most substances.
- Regular patting and airing is usually sufficient to keep your coat clean, supple and fresh.
- Washing normal sheepskin or wool slippers is not recommended.
- If the coat becomes dirty, you can rub it with a damp cloth in the direction of the hair, but do not wet the skin; similar slippers, be careful to keep the leather soles dry.
- It is possible to wash medical sheepskins; best hand wash at 30 degrees and hang dry (do not tumble dry).
The tanning process;
- Tanning sheepskins takes approximately 6 weeks.
- Tanning means: preserving a coat while retaining its natural properties.
- The tanning process is a traditional and labor-intensive process.
- Under the WeeSkins label, 95% eco products are used for tanning sheepskins; 5% use products that make the skin supple and soft.
